Great Holes of the Northwest
No. 18 ~ Wildhorse Resort, Pendleton, Ore. ~ Par 4

This 7,112-yard layout just east of Pendleton, Ore., offers picturesque views of rolling wheat fields in one direction and the foothills of the Blue Mountains in another direction. After enjoying the view for 17 holes, golfers are then forced to pay attention to detail on this 18th hole, designed by John Steidel. There's out of bounds and bunkers on the left side off the tee, and water all down the right side. The second shot isn't any easier, with water still in play, and a deep bunker if you use the left as a bail out area.
